Threw staff was helpful
You had to go down the hall for the bathroom and when you get there the door knob is messed up and hardly worked. Out took me forever to get it to open because it was locked and I was given an individual key for it. and I found a German cockroach in the bathroom

location was perfect and central to everything.
the place was nasty, horribly filthy. there was no television in the room and the wifi is only accessible from the front room next to the office. the smell of meth was all in the air. I would not recommend this place for any traveler with any kind of decency or respect for themselves. I actually never touched the bed, didnt sleep that night one bit, as a matter of fact I hung out all night just to stay out of that horrible place.

Sam the front desk guy was a nice guy.
This place was so gross. Not at all like the ad I saw. It was dirty and there were so many homelss people, prostitues and drugged out people in the place. Just hanging out in the hallway. Dogs with out leashes roaming around the place. Just creepy. The room was small with a window that had NO lock on it. You could hear people having sex next door because the place was so small and the walls were thin. It was kind of hard to find also. My friend and I were staying here after an event we had. Our 2 male friends walked us back to make sure we got in our room safely. While I was changing clothes the guy who was working the front desk opened my room door without knocking. Telling us the boys had to leave. I was explaining how they were leaving and was only getting their things to go and made sure we got to our room safely. He then made a threat to call the police. We ended up leaving and not staying the night at another hotel.

NOTHING,. well maybe the price? They refunded my money for one night!
Place was filthy!!! Bed was not even made when I checked in. It was noisey through out the night. They were doing renovations at all hours of the day.Cable and hot water were both out for the 2 days I stayed there. Saw rats running through halls down to the batrooms. Bed bugs crawling on me in the middle of the night. Think I brought them home with me.

Nothing to like -this place should be closed down by the Department of Public Health. The woman at the desk was breast-feeding as I tried to complain about the bed bugs, then failed to show any sympathy.
The bed bug bites which caused me discomfort for days to follow.

the price
downtown is full of homeless people, and place is quite old. You have to share 2 showers and 2 toilets for the whole floor... A bit smelly and noisy

we did not enjoy our stay in this inn. there was an awful smell in the hallways and in the rooms. the toilet and shower facilities were unusable. I walked to the restrooms and there was a homeless man drinking a can of beer sitting in the hallway. I was incredibly disappointed that you would recommend this inn on your website. disgusted.

The Budget Inn is by far the worst place I have ever stayed next to a trailor park witch I never stayed in one before but just a visit. The staff had a terrible attitude and there was so many spider webs but worst of all by far the bedding was still filthy. The hotel could have been bad but the sheets should always be be clean.

Leaving.
This is bottom of the barrel accommodations. The shared bathroom smelled atrocious, felt unsanitary and was used only if absolutely necessary. Peeing into a bottle inside our room was actually a better option. This building primarily serves as low-income housing for people on the skids. A few women and children, but mostly shady characters habitate this building. No one seemed particularly dangerous, but none gave cause to be at ease. Our room had a window with no fire escape that opened to a 15 foot drop to cement that was entirely enclosed by the building. The bed was pressed up against the radiator that was burning hot even on a hot summer day. You have to be buzzed into the building by a receptionist that works behind safety glass. You get a room key and a shower room key. Suffice to say, we did not shower.

Horrible stench when entering the hotel, worsening in the tiny room thanks to a smoking neighbour. Very low quality (is the word appropriate?) place, dirty bed, old walls and old building in a tramp quarter of san francisco. Séjour désastreux dans un hotel malodorant, bruyant, glauque pour un prix sur estimé. Passez votre chemin.
